Exit comedy, Adeline Blondieau now works as a sophrologist. The 52-year-old former actress who lives in Camargue (Bouches-du-Rhône) opened her own practice, who also shares her best well-being advice on social networks. In the podcast of journalist Elsa Wolinski, Adeline Blondieau has just opened up about the taboo subject of menopause.
In the columns of Parisian, Johnny Hallyday’s ex explains why she decided to speak out on this subject. “We are often ashamed to talk about it and this shame is passed down from generation to generation. My mother didn’t tell me about her menopause, for example. However, it is an important issue in a woman’s life. I want to give my daughter the tools to understand it.” she declared.
She then confides in her own experience: “I’m still in it occasionally. If I have a lot of stress or fatigue, I will still have a hot flash. In general, it is linked to the quality of my sleep, my diet, when I eat very spicy foods for example. It’s super important to welcome this state and accept it.”
Adeline Blondieau then reveals that a gynecologist one day advised her to have her uterus removed : “I was 46 years old and this man, this gynecologist, had decreed that I would no longer need it because I was no longer of childbearing age. I found it ultra-violent and sexist. I was very shocked. Fortunately, she asked a friend in the same profession for advice before getting started: “JI asked a friend who was an emergency gynecologist in the war zones. She advised me not to accept and take other opinions. We are responsible for our health. When we do work, we look for several quotes. For our bodies, it should be the same!”
The former star of the series Under the sun
concluded by mentioning his new life away from the spotlight : “I am very happy where I am today. I made choices and reconnected with myself. By trying to please all these people, you lose yourself.”
