Accused of the murder of her two little daughters, Adèle Sorella was acquitted at noon Monday at the end of her third trial.
Mme Sorella was accused of killing her two daughters, Amanda and Sabrina. They were found dead on the floor of the games room of the family home in Laval on March 31, 2009.
Their bodies showed no signs of violence. The medical examiner was unable to determine the medical cause of the girls’ deaths, but concluded that they died of asphyxiation, after a process of eliminating all other possible causes.
This is the third trial that Mr.me Sorella. The first two resulted in guilty verdicts, but on two occasions the Court of Appeal ordered a new trial.
