Free program (M): Adam Siao Him Fa retains his European title
Adam Siao Him Fa wins the European Championships again. However, the Frenchman fell during his program and also performed a backflip, a figure prohibited in competition; but his overall score of 276.17 points still allowed him to win gold. Adam Siao Him Fa is the first French skater to retain his European title since Alain Calmat, winner in 1962, 1963 and 1964. – (France TV)
He is European champion for the second time in a row. Adam Siao Him Fa largely won in Kaunas (Lithuania), Friday, with a score of 276.17 points, after a free program that was not perfect but daring.
Two falls and a backflip, a figure that is prohibited in competition. This did not slow down Adam Siao Him Fa, who this Friday, January 12, became European champion for the second consecutive time with 276.17 points. He is ahead of Estonian Aleksandr Selevko (256.99 points) and Italian Matteo Rizzo (250.87 points).
The double French champion did not deliver a perfect performance, but it was well enough to protect himself from his competitors. He is thus 20 points ahead of his Estonian runner-up! The other Frenchman entered in the competition, Luc Economides, finished in fifteenth place in his first European Championships.
