The French actress and director Valérie Lemercier, who has been mistress of ceremonies for the César du cinéma three times, will this time be the president of their 49th edition, on February 23, 2024 at the Olympia in Paris, announced Monday, November 20 organizers. As president, she succeeds the actor Tahar Rahim, who occupied this mainly honorary role during the 2023 edition.

She then won the same César in 2007 for her Orchestra chairs (by Danièle Thompson). Finally, she won best actress in 2022 for her sixth film as director, Aline, inspired by the life of singer Céline Dion.
