The Paris prosecutor’s office is requesting that Gérard Depardieu be referred to the criminal court for rape and sexual assault on actress Charlotte Arnould, for acts dating back to 2018.
She confided in the cameras of franceinfo last year, Charlotte Arnould claims to have been raped by Gérard Depardieu. She was 22 years old at the time of the events. The actress filed a complaint. On Thursday, August 22, the Paris prosecutor’s office requested a trial for rape and sexual assault.
The scene is said to have taken place in 2018, at the actor’s home. “Everything happens very quickly, we talk for 15 minutes and then everything changes and then it’s absolute horror”says the young woman. After the announcement by the public prosecutor, Charlotte Arnould reacted on her social networks. “I am extremely relieved and moved. It gives me hope for the future, although I obviously remain cautious.”she wrote. Gérard Depardieu and his lawyers have not yet spoken.
