French actor Jean Dujardin, Oscar winner for his role in The Artist and a great rugby fan, will be at the helm of the opening ceremony of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, which will take place in France from September 8 to October 28. The opening match of the World Cup in Saint-Denis will be played between France and New Zealand, three-time world champions.
Jean Dujardin co-wrote the show and will perform one of the main roles, the organizers announced on Saturday July 8. Show designer Olivier Ferracci and director Nora Matthey of l’Endroit also took part in the writing.
