Actor Dylan Robert, César for Most Promising Actor in 2019, was indicted in November for “organized gang assassination” and “attempted assassination” and placed in pre-trial detention, franceinfo learned on Tuesday, December 12 from the prosecution from Marseille, confirming information from the newspaper The world. The 23-year-old actor is suspected of being involved in the murder of teenager Rayanne in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) in 2021.

From a judicial source, Dylan Robert is suspected of having driven the scooter which transported the author of the assassination of the 14-year-old teenager, in the city of Marronniers, in the 14th arrondissement of Marseille, on August 18, 2021. That evening, the passenger had taken out his long weapon, an assault rifle type, and aimed at a lookout point at the entrance to the city, where narcotics were sold. The shots then hit Rayanne, who died shortly after his admission to hospital.

According to his family, Rayanne had gone down to buy a sandwich not far from his home when he was targeted by the suspects, near a deal point. Two other minors were injured that evening by the shots: another 14-year-old teenager and an 8-year-old child. An investigation had been opened for assassination by an organized gang. A few days later, more than a hundred people participated in a white march in tribute to Rayanne.

Actor Dylan Robert “vigorously contests the facts for which he is indicted”, explains his lawyer, Valérie Coriatt, Tuesday evening in a press release consulted by franceinfo. The suspect’s lawyer explains in her press release that“this is a case currently under judicial investigation for which the presumption of innocence must be respected as well as the secrecy of the investigation”.

Dylan Robert has already been sentenced to 30 months in prison for violent thefts at the end of January 2022. At the time, he had been under judicial supervision since February 2021 after having spent 13 months in pre-trial detention following two cases of armed robbery in 2017 and other violent thefts.
