actor Aurélien Wiik reveals he was a victim of abuse when he was a minor

New revelations of sexual violence in French cinema. Actor Aurélien Wiik revealed, Thursday February 22, that he had been “abused”from the age of 11 to the age of 15, “by his agent and other members of his entourage”. On Instagram, with the hashtag #MeTooBoys, le 43-year-old actor, who notably plays in the series Munchreports having “filed a complaint at 16” because his agent “did it to others”. “I sent him to prison”he continues, “It took five years.”

“If there are other victims of him, speak out, enjoins the actor. He’s dead, but it might do some good.” In his testimony, he also calls into question “directors” and “producers”. The actor mentions “attacks, harassment, attempted rape”. He also shares “blackmail against roles that[il] didn’t get it at all” and of “trapped dinners organized by old people with several minors”. “I defended myself from wandering hands, he adds.

These revelations come as Friday takes place the 49th César ceremony, against a backdrop of freedom of speech around sexual violence in the 7th art. Many are waiting for words from actress Judith Godrèche, who became a leading figure in French #MeToo after filing a complaint against directors Benoît Jacquot and Jacques Doillon for sexual and physical violence during her adolescence, accusations that the latter deny.
