Journalist Pierre Ménès is currently in police custody, Franceinfo learned Thursday, December 9 from a police source. The former Canal + journalist is the target of an investigation for “sexual assault” opened on November 20 after a report.
Pierre Ménès is accused of having touched the chest of a hostess at the Parc des Princes on November 20, during the match between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Nantes. The alleged victim did not file a complaint but the Paris prosecutor’s office opened an investigation, entrusted to the 1st district of the judicial police. Pierre Ménès, for his part, filed a complaint on Tuesday, November 30 in Paris for “slanderous denunciation”.
Sidelined at the end of March after accusations of sexual assault, the 58-year-old former Canal Football Club columnist left the encrypted channel on July 1, ending nearly 12 years of collaboration.
