Faced with accusations of sexual assault, Nicolas Hulot announced to leave public life Wednesday, November 24. He denies the facts with which he is accused.

For Nicolas Hulot, it’s a little sentence launched live on television that puts an end to four decades of life in the spotlight. “I am leaving public life for good, simply because I am disgusted”, he announced Wednesday, November 24 on the set of BFMTV. If the former minister leaves public life, it is because of the special Envoy program, broadcast Thursday, November 25 on France 2. A journalistic investigation was carried out in which several women implicate him, for acts of harassment , sexual assault and rape.

Without knowing the details of these testimonies, Nicolas Hulot denounced the accusations against him. “Neither near nor far, I did not commit his acts”, he assured in the morning of Wednesday, November 24. The facts reported in the report date back several years and are legally prescribed.
