Since the release of his series, “Icon of French cinema”, Judith Godrèche multiplies the platforms against Benoît Jacquot, the filmmaker who revealed her at 15 years old, and whom she accuses today of “violent rape of a minor under 15 years old committed by a person in authority” during their relationship intimate which lasted 6 years. And he is not the only one against whom she has filed a complaint. While she also accuses the director Jacques Doillon of having sexually abused her twice when she was 15 years old, a first sanction has already fallen for the latter.
“We can’t do anything against an idea whose time has come“
The father of Lou Douillon, ex-companion of Jane Birkin, was to chair, on February 21, 2024, a festival in Tours, Viva Il Cinema. As announced by France Bleu Touraine this Thursday, February 8, he is no longer welcome in Indre-et-Loire. Indeed, Bruno Lavillatte, the president of the association which manages the festival, explained to our colleagues: “it is a collective and unanimous decision in order to preserve the ethics of the festival”.
And added: “It is good for women to speak out, on the sole condition that there is verification of the facts, something sufficiently supported. The times are changing and there is a very nice phrase from Victor Hugo that comes to mind: we can do nothing against an idea whose time has come. This idea of the liberation of women’s voices is now and it is happening. So much the better“.
What do the two men that Judith Godrèche accuses say?
As a reminder, both men refute the serious accusations. Benoît Jacquot assures that he had a romantic relationship with the actress. For his part, Jacques Doillon denies “with force“having attacked Judith Godrèche, according to her lawyer Me Marie Dosé, questioned by Franceinfo.
