Jacques Doillon responds. Questioned by several actresses including Judith Godrèche, the 79-year-old director denounced Friday February 9 “lies” and said he was at the disposal of justice, in a statement sent to AFP. “That Judith Godrèche and other women through her are keen to denounce a system, an era, a society, is courageous, laudable and necessary. But the justness of the cause does not authorize arbitrary denunciations, false accusations and the lieshe judges.
Accused of having “abused” Judith Godrèche when she was 15 years old, during the filming of an intimate scene in the film The 15 year old girl in particular, the filmmaker replies that “this scene is in the original script (…). Judith Godrèche obviously read and reread the script since she even claimed to have written it”he adds.
The director denies outright
“I watch with attention this upheaval, not to say this revolution, initiated and carried by women whose speech has been free for several years now. (…) However, I have never committed the acts with which I am accused and I will bring to justice, since it is now seized, all the factual elements at my disposal to demonstrate my innocence”assures Jacques Doillon.
He also denies being close to Benoît Jacquot, also targeted by accusations of abuse and violence from Judith Godrèche. Denouncing journalistic investigations “non-contradictory”Jacques Doillon was also implicated by the actresses Isild Le Besco and Anna Mouglalis in an article in World.
