This is the trial of a former prison guard, who is said to be an accomplice of a mafia prisoner, tried with 15 other defendants. Cathy Chatelain is suspected of having given the kiss of death to a rival mafia boss who was assassinated in 2017.

It’s the story of a prison guard, mother of five children, who falls into organized crime. At the beginning of 2017, Cathy Chatelain has just been transferred to Corsica to Borgo prison. Very quickly, she becomes friends with an inmate. The man will convince her to help him assassinate one of his enemies. His mission: to spot an inmate at the airport who is returning from a furlough, then kiss him to point him out to a hitman.

On December 5, 2017, shortly before 11 a.m., the plan was carried out. Jean-Luc Codaccioni and his friend Antoine Quilichini, two figures of Corsican banditry, were shot dead without creating the slightest movement of panic. A few months later, 16 suspects were arrested. Among them: Cathy Chatelain, aka Catwoman. Faced with investigators, she confesses and takes responsibility for everything. She has been incarcerated for more than six years in Riom prison (Puy-de-Dôme). Psychiatrist experts describe her as a woman who still maintains allegiance to the Corsican criminal clan. But for her lawyer, she was manipulated. Her eldest son, David, supports her. From May 6 and for two months, she will appear alongside 15 Corsican co-defendants before the Assize Court of Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône).
