“These brutal and dishonest attacks aim to delegitimize all those who oppose Israeli policies.” In a press release published on X Wednesday January 3, LFI deputy David Guiraud affirms that his “private home was targeted by serious malicious acts”, “a few hours ago.” The parliamentarian is accused ofanti-Semitism after having published on X (formerly Twitter) an image from the animated series Japanese One Piecereferring to “celestial dragons”, characters whose name and image have been used for anti-Semitic purposes on social networks. The MP finally deleted his tweet on January 1 in the face of the controversy, so as not to “to hit”and he denies having intended to relay an anti-Semitic reference.
“I have unfortunately become accustomed to defamation, insults and manipulation for years because of my political commitment”writes the elected official from the North. “For several months, I have observed a desire to destroy those who oppose the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians”he adds.
