The Coalition avenir Québec (CAQ) is demanding an apology from a Liberal candidate who accused François Legault’s political party of being racist and xenophobic.
Justice Minister Simon Jolin-Barrette said Claude Vadeboncoeur, who is running in the riding of Brome-Missisquoi, insulted Quebecers.
The duty revealed on Sunday that Mr. Vadeboncoeur had, under the influence of anger, poured out in an email sent this winter to his opponent, the CAQ minister responsible for Education Isabelle Charest.
