It’s number 11e once this ranking is established “on the basis of the worldwide sales of an artist or group over the past year, all formats combined, streamingdownloads and physical media, and across its entire repertoire,” explains Wednesday the structure which represents the recorded music industry in the world.
This consecration of 2023 follows those of 2014, 2019 and 2022. The IFPI salutes “an exceptional year during which the artist released three albums […] at the top of the rankings”, namely Midnights and versions re-recorded by him of the discs Speak Now And 1989.
