accident in the middle of the Cannes Film Festival for his daughter Chiara, president of the jury!

This is one of the most anticipated events in the cinema industry! This Tuesday, May 16, 2023, the 76ᵉ edition of Cannes film festival will open to the delight of moviegoers. It is the second channel that will have the honor of broadcasting the opening ceremony presented by Chiara Mastroianni.

“I have immense stage fright, but I’m delighted. I see it as an absolute chance to attend the most beautiful selection of cinema in the world. I do it with a lot of sincerity because my desire to become an actress was born from my pleasure of a spectator, of my love of films (…)”, revealed the artist for “France TV”. And to add not without pride: “That’s also what this festival is, a springboard that can change everything. The Festival is a promise of dizzying sensations, a place where the possibility of the unexpected always exists”.

Concerned about the smallest detail, Chiara Mastroianni swore to excel as mistress of ceremonies: “My role is to welcome people, those who are present as well as those watching the event in front of their screen, and to ‘launch the games’. The opening and the closing are two atmospheres, two very different moments, because waiting for the results, the expectation create tension. So, a few moments from the winners, we avoid big speeches”.

“I feel close to Pierre Richard in ‘La Chèvre'”

“Even if there is a formal aspect to the exercise, I would like to achieve that it is warm and natural. I really hope to be up to it, because, among all the festivals where I had the chance to go, Cannes remains for me apart”, she added. Chiara Mastroianni will certainly shine brilliantly! However for “Brut” this Tuesday, May 16, 2023, she admitted – to her chagrin – to be airheaded.

“Me, I feel close to Pierre Richard in ‘La Chèvre’… When he takes the glass doors there”, confessed the ex-companion of Benjamin Biolay not without humor. “Because I’m clumsy… So, I think at some point, I have to accept that”. Neither one nor two, the main interested party said more about a misadventure that happened to her several years ago on the Croisette: “In 2011, when leaving to present the film on the steps, it was for Christophe Honoré’s ‘Beloved’, I took the doorframe”.

Fortunately, more fear than harm for the star: “Nothing serious, but hey, it’s true that I had a beautiful pigeon’s egg. So, I put hair on it so that it couldn’t be seen. It was quite funny (…)! “
