A Parisian supporter was seriously injured during clashes which broke out in Milan on Monday evening between supporters of Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan. He received “two stab wounds in the leg”said the Italian police in a press release. “It was clearly an ambush, it was prepared”testifies Tuesday, November 7, a Parisian supporter at the microphone of Franceinfo.

The supporter who spoke on Radio France was with a group of friends. They left “have a drink by the Canal” in Milan, in a neighborhood “calm” when, around midnight, they saw “around fifty Milanese arrived with black helmets, batons, knee pads, mortars”. “They started charging,” describes the witness. “They came and bludgeoned everyone a little.” One of his friends, according to him, took “a blow from a club in the back”.

The attack comes less than two months after a Newcastle United supporter was stabbed in the same area of ​​the Lombard city before a Champions League match against Milan.

Milan and PSG meet on Tuesday evening for the 4th day of the group stage of the Champions League, a match classified as risky, in particular due to the arrival in Italy of 4,300 Parisian supporters. Milan have been crowned European champions seven times but are currently last with two points, having failed to score a single goal in their first three matches while PSG currently sit top of Group F with six points, after beating the Italians 3-0 at the Parc des Princes, a fortnight ago.
