Mike Maignan returns to the infirmary, the Blues tremble again. The AC Milan goalkeeper, lining Hugo Lloris in the France team, injured his calf again on Wednesday October 19, for his return to training. The Milanese club has made it known that the former Lille resident was injured in the soleus muscle and will have to mark an absence of at least ten days, at the end of which a new medical point will be made.

One month before the World Cup in Qatar, which begins on November 20, this new physical glitch will force Maignan to miss the next three games of Milan, and limit his return to competition for the World Cup. The goalkeeper was hit during the last gathering of the Habs, during the League of Nations match against Austria on September 22.

For Didier Deschamps, who is due to announce his list for the World Cup on November 9, Maignan’s state of health is one more concern. N’Golo Kanté had to forfeit Tuesday, following a hamstring operation which will leave him on the flank for four months. Paul Pogba, for his part, resumed training only on Tuesday, after having knee surgery. Aston Villa midfielder Boubacar Kamara has also been ruled out with a knee injury.
