“Everyone sees that [les cas de Covid-19 sont] going up” in business, said on franceinfo Monday March 28 Benoît Serre, national deputy vice-president of the National Association of Human Resources Directors (ANDRH). “We are back to the situation we had seen in January or February, with around 10 to 15% absenteeism every day”he detailed, while the number of cases of Covid-19 has increased sharply since the end of the obligation to wear a mask in the workplace on March 14.
According to Benoit Serre, “barrier gestures have inevitably disappeared”. He believes that“we are facing a wave that we don’t talk about much because there is much more dramatic news in the world”. The vice-president of the national association of HRDs goes on to explain that “It is above all the trades where one has to move outside that are exposed, with a health degradation”. Benoît Serre ends, however, by saluting the “responsibility” many employees “who put the mask back on when they cough or have a sore throat”even in the absence of a positive test for Covid-19.
