Éléonore Loiselle, who we saw in the film The Goddess of Fireflieswas chosen to play the main role of Disobey – Chantal Daigle’s choicea new series that revisits a pivotal moment in the history of abortion rights in Canada.

33 years ago, in August 1989, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled in favor of Chantal Daigle, a 21-year-old young woman who wanted to have an abortion, despite the opposition of the child’s father.
The series will relate the fight of this woman against her ex-husband, Jean-Guy Tremblay, who will be played by Antoine Pilon.
Rachel Graton, Émilie Bibeau, Jean-François Pichette, Patrick Hivon, Alex Bisping, Simon Boudreault and Juliette Gosselin are also part of the cast.
Directed by Alexis Durand-Brault and written by Daniel Thibault and Isabelle Pelletier, the series Disobey – Chantal Daigle’s choice will premiere on Crave next spring.
Filming has already started. The team was notably seen in Sainte-Julie, on the South Shore of Montreal.
