Abitibi-Témiscamingue | Driver arrested after accident causing three injuries

(Montreal) Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) arrested a man for driving while impaired after he caused an accident that injured three people.

According to information provided by Sergeant Nancy Fournier, the police were called around 4:45 p.m. Monday for a collision that occurred on Route 382, ​​in Fugèreville, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

According to the spokesperson for the SQ, a vehicle would have struck the back of a farm tractor equipped with a trailer.

Three people were in the vehicle involved: the driver, a passenger and a child. The three people were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries, the nature and severity of which are unknown.

The police then arrested the driver due to indications that he was impaired at the time of the accident. A blood sample has been requested for analysis.
