The ultra-famous Swedish quartet does not agree with the use of their music without their permission by the Republican candidate for the White House.

Iconic Swedish pop group ABBA wants to stop Donald Trump from using their hits during his campaign for the US presidency. The group’s record label, Universal Music of Sweden, says it has spotted several of the group’s songs being played at least once during the former Republican president’s campaign events.
“We asked that (these pieces) be removed“, Universal Music AB said in a statement on Thursday.Universal Music Publishing AB and (the record company) Polar Music International AB have not received any requests (for use of these titles), so no permission or license has been given to Trump.“, adds the group.
The Swedish Daily Swedish Daily News reports that one of its journalists attended a Trump rally in Minnesota, home to a large Swedish community, in July, during which one of ABBA’s hits was played. The Winner Takes it All. An old ten-minute video clip of the group was projected on a giant screen showing ABBA performing some of their greatest hits, including Money, Money, Money And Dancing Queen.
The Swedish group of Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid – their initials forming the name ABBA – embodied disco until 1982 when they called it quits. Other musical celebrities such as Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Celine Dion and the Rolling Stones, asked the Republican candidate to stop playing their songs during the campaign.
