“I think the elevator has to go up”, illustrated Mme Biron, arriving at the special meeting to which Prime Minister François Legault had invited the deputies from Quebec and Chaudière-Appalaches, Tuesday morning.

Mme Biron did not specify the nature of the investments that could be made to compensate for the loss of the road tunnel which was to link the city centers of Quebec and Lévis by passing under the river, a project whose costs, including the dedicated tube to public transit, now amounted to $10 billion.

“Ah, there are plenty of projects,” said the Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie and Minister responsible for the Status of Women.

But “I think that’s what we usually do, when we don’t keep our promises, we tell people, ‘well, look, I’m going to give it back to you, I owe you,'” continued the CAQ MP, in front of the journalists who were waiting for her at the doors of the Prime Minister’s Office, where the meeting is being held.

Deputy Prime Minister Geneviève Guilbault arrived last at this special caucus, more than twenty minutes late.
