Last January, and against all odds, Bruno, barely two years old, was taken back to the Montville shelter by his adopters – a mother and her daughter – barely a week after his adoption. According to them, Bruno was “too affectionate”, reported the shelter.

Seeing Bruno walk through the doors of the shelter again, Lindsay Persico, an employee, did not hesitate to react and share the news on social networks. Result: the post was shared almost 1500 times in a few hours, with more than 500 comments.
The shelter then received many phone calls and, according to the young woman, nearly 50 adoption applications were filed.
It did not take much time for Bruno to find a new home, since two days later, the young cat was able to leave the shelter in the arms of his new adopters.
The Montville shelter claimed that cat adoptions increased dramatically as a result of this story.
