Gad Elmaleh will begin this Saturday, September 10 the second date of his show By the way at La Cigale in Paris after performing there the day before. He will return to this room in the north of Paris, a third time, on Sunday September 11. But before giving the banana to thousands of spectators, the comedian was the guest, a few days ago, of the podcast “À voix nue”, in which several subjects were discussed. His melancholic childhood, the betrayal he experienced in his relationships but also the family. The comedian and singer spoke about his youngest son, Raphaël, whom he had with Princess Charlotte Casiraghi.
The star admitted to regretting certain choices made in the past. Indeed, he sometimes favored his career more to the detriment of the time spent with his children. In 2016, for example, he decided to seize his chance across the Atlantic. His relationship with his last will suffer. “It’s a long three years with round trips by plane. With the jet lag, the little one, he sees you, you’re a zombie, you can’t even play with him, you fall asleep while you talk to him…”, he remembered before recognizing: “There were times when I felt like I wasn’t on top. There were times when I could have undone something.”
Better late than never, Gad Elmaleh ended up returning home, determined to take advantage of his offspring. “One of the reasons why I came back from the United States is that, as a child, I did not see him growing up.“. And today he “does everything to do (his) duty as a father”.
