A few hours after the staff of the men’s XV of France, it is the turn of that of the Bleues to unveil the group which will start the first match of the 2021 autumn tour. The coach of the Bleues, Annick Hayraud and his assistants made the choice to align a deeply rejuvenated XV against South Africa, Saturday at 3 pm in Vannes. An experienced hinge will be responsible for guiding this youth: the opener Caroline Drouin (18 caps), silver medalist in rugby sevens at the Games, is associated with Laure Sansus (20 caps).

Three players will experience their first selection in the French team at XV: the left pillar, Coco Lindelauf (20 years old), and the pair of centers Chloé Jacquet (silver medalist in Tokyo at 7) and Marie Dupouy (19 years old). One way to mobilize a large group and to build up confidence before a season with crucial deadlines. Gaëlle Hermet’s teammates will then meet the New Zealand women, world champions, for a double confrontation (November 13 and 20 in Pau and Castres). What to gauge before the next Six Nations and a season that will have only one goal for the XV of France: to be at the top of his form and his confidence for the World Cup 2022, in New Zealand in September.
