A week after the death of a 24-year-old woman, shot and killed at her home in Croissy-Beaubourg (Seine-et-Marne), a 21-year-old suspect was placed in pre-trial detention on Friday October 20. This is what the Meaux public prosecutor’s office announced on Saturday, confirming information from Parisian.

The victim was found dead at her home on October 14 around 8:30 a.m., after a “probable evening” which would have given rise to significant consumption of alcohol and narcotics, reported Jean-Baptiste Bladier, the public prosecutor.

The victim was killed by at least one gunshot to the head. No weapon having been found on site, the theory of suicide had been ruled out. Three people were taken into custody within 48 hours following the young woman’s death, before being lifted. The investigation was entrusted to the Meaux judicial police.
