A 20-year-old young man was arrested Thursday, November 3 in the morning by the police of Saint-Avold (Moselle), suspected of having filmed himself on the social network Snapchat in the process of butchering a cat, learned Thursday 3 November France Bleu Lorraine Nord, confirming information from BFMTV.
The Moselle national police received a report on Wednesday denouncing a video on the social network of a young man filming himself in the process of butchering a cat. This Thursday morning, the 20-year-old individual was therefore arrested at his home and placed in police custody.
An investigation for “cruelty and abuse of domestic animals” has been opened, said the public prosecutor of Sarreguemines, Olivier Glady, to France Bleu Lorraine Nord. This young man faces a five-year prison sentence and a fine of 75,000 euros.
