An 18-year-old young man was shot on Monday evening, while he was in the Philippe-Panneton library in the western part of the City of Laval.
At around 7:13 p.m. Monday evening, shots were fired at the Philippe-Panneton library. An 18-year-old man, who was inside, was shot in the lower body.
He was taken to a hospital, but there is no fear for his life.
The victim is a person known to police circles, said Stéphanie Beshara, spokesperson for the Laval Police Department.
There are no arrests at the moment.
An investigation is underway.
