a year after the death of her husband Jean-Pierre Pernaut, Nathalie Marquay presides over the competition for the most handsome man in France

The most handsome man in France is 22 years old, blond, sporty looking and 1.87m tall. This is Lisandre Van Muylders, who had already won the Mister Corse scarf in October 2022. Succeeding Lenny Tabourel, the young man from Porticcio graduated with a license in Staps and a diving instructor. Did he prepare particularly for this competition? “My physical preparation has been done since I was very young because I am a great sportsman” he confided to our colleagues from Corsica Net Info when first elected. His projects? Jack-of-all-trades, Mister France 2023 admits that he “there are a lot of things that interest (him), there are a lot of things to learn… staying in one profession is not for (him)”even if a detour through modeling, after having tried carpentry, catering and today diving, would not displease him. Quite the contrary. At his side, Djassim Ahamada was elected 1st runner-up Mister France Mayotte, Maxime Vitez, representing Nord-Pas-de-Calais, came in second place, followed by 3rd runner-up Mister France Bourgogne Franche-Comté, Romain Mariel and finally of Anthony Faure for Languedoc.

A festive evening to forget the sadness…

In total, some 29 candidates presented themselves to win the prestigious title, marched and spoke in front of a jury of eight people, chaired by Nathalie Marquay, one of the most famous Miss France. Alongside him were also Selem Arik, Mister France 2016, Stéphanie Dunand – known as “Stouf” -, producer and columnist for C’Cauet on NRJ, the lyrical singer Fabrice di Falco or the influencer Sylwia Kolbe, known under the pseudonym lapetitemeuf. A meeting both festive and very serious which has now become, since its creation in 1993, a national event. The conditions for registering? Candidates must be of French nationality, between the ages of 18 and 30 at the time of registration, be at least 1.75 meters tall and be single without children. A regulation that Nathalie Marquay knows well, elected under the inflexible reign of Madame de Fontenay. And above all an evening which had to entertain her in this period of painful first anniversary of the disappearance of her husband, Jean-Pierre Pernaut, who died on March 2, 2022.
