A woman from Salluit, in Nord-du-Québec, is accused of the unpremeditated murder of her spouse who was discovered seriously injured, lying on the ground not far from a residence, last Friday.
“The man was found on the ground outside a residence, seriously injured. He was transported to a hospital center where his death was confirmed shortly after,” said Sergeant Hugues Beaulieu, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
The victim has been identified as Josepie Saviadjuk, 34.
The same day, July 14, the man’s spouse was arrested by the Nunavik Police Service.
Laly Yuliusie, 40, appeared over the weekend and faces a second-degree murder charge.
It was impossible to learn more about the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.
