A wolf killed on the heights of Crest after three attacks on a herd

Sunday, Monday and again Tuesday, a breeder in Crest suffered three successive wolf attacks. 19 of his sheep were killed and nine injured. The Drôme prefecture therefore authorized a defensive fire. The lieutenants of wolf hunting killed an adult male on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday around 1:30 a.m., on the heights of the town, Gardettes district.

The presence of the wolf made almost no doubt given the content of the attacks on the herds. The 33-kilogram wolf killed in the night is proof of this. The body of the animal will now be examined by an analysis laboratory which will conduct an autopsy.
