The women marched on Wednesday, March 8, on the occasion of Women’s Rights Day. Some of them have come to denounce the pension reform, which they consider penalizing for them.

From the Republic to the Nation (Paris), women shouted their anger against violence, inequality and pension reform, Wednesday March 8. It will force them to work longer, so as not to necessarily earn more. A reform deemed unfair

The pensions received by women are now 28% lower on average than those of men. The demonstrators ask the executive to review its copy. “All the lies of this government have been exposed today, so this project absolutely must be abandoned“, comments Sigrid Gérardin, of the Unitary Trade Union Federation (FSU). For many demonstrators across France, as in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), the objective is to obtain the abolition of a reform which they consider More than 25,000 people marched in 150 French towns.
