A white march will take place on Sunday February 20, at 10 a.m. in Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque in the Pyrénées-Orientales, to pay tribute to the 8 victims who perished in the fire of three adjoining buildings on February 14, announces the town hall in a press release this Saturday. “Families are suitable for all those who wish to join”, also clarifies the text. The appointment is given on the esplanade of the town hall, 2 avenue Urbain Paret. This march will also be an opportunity to express “recognition to those who helped them”.

The white march will take place the day before the establishment this Monday, by the State, of the local victim assistance committee (CLAV). This installation will be followed by a press conference, at 4:30 p.m., at the Pyrénées-Orientales prefecture.
The local committee aims to “coordinate local victim support systems, in particular for the information and compensation of victims, their legal and social care and their support in their
administrative procedures”.
This authority brings together, under the authority of the prefect and the public prosecutor, the services and operators of the State, the local health insurance organizations and the organizations responsible for family benefits, the representatives of the judicial authorities.
