Killed after a beating in Essonne, young Shemseddine was 15 years old. Friday April 12, a white march in his tribute brought together nearly 2,000 people.
Shemseddine’s family and friends were at the head of the procession on Friday April 12, followed by nearly 2,000 people. All dressed in white, with a rose in their hand, they came to pay tribute to the 15-year-old teenager killed in Viry-Châtillon (Essonne) after a beating. Five people indicted
On April 4, Shemseddine was beaten to death near his school. Four young men were indicted for murder and placed in pre-trial detention. The little sister of two of them, aged 15, was indicted for willful failure to prevent a crime. Jean-Marie Vilain, mayor of Viry-Châtillon, wishes to spread a message of appeasement. He asks to “protect young people from this violence“.
