A man driving a red van crashed into a car about 20 times during the morning rush hour.
The driver also threatened the occupants of the vehicle with a firearm.
The passenger filmed the scene as he spoke with emergency services.
The driver of the attacked vehicle tells Global News that he accelerated in an attempt to escape the red van.
As he tried to flee, he came across a highway patrol officer, who later told him that he had been traveling over 170 kilometers per hour in front of him.
Authorities determined that the driver repeated his gesture several times on Tuesday evening. He was also involved in at least two violent auto thefts.
The man was arrested Wednesday morning.
