Charles III and Camilla will walk down the Avenue des Champs-Elysées on Wednesday September 20, after rekindling the flame of the Unknown Soldier. This state visit is under high security. An update on the system with journalist Matthieu Boisseau, live from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
“Since around noon, traffic has been completely cut off around this Arc de Triomphe. There are no more cars. There are roadblocks on each of the avenues, notably that of the Champs-Élysées, which provide access to this square. l’Etoile. We also have to go through mine clearance to be able to access the stands which welcome journalists, accredited people and guests.”explains journalist Matthieu Boisseau, live from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, Wednesday September 20.
The guests arrive
He indicates : “The guests are arriving little by little. Many veterans’ associations. I also saw the Scouts and Guides of France who have taken their place in this stand. (…) They are waiting for the big moment of this ceremony, the joint passage of the French patrol and its British equivalent.”
