A visibly still bitter 49ers player

Visibly still bitter from his team’s loss to the Eagles, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is confident the Philadelphia club will lose to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

“If I had to bet on this game, I’d take everything I own and put my money on the Chiefs,” the Niners rep said in an interview on TheSFNiners podcast.

“You have to be lucky to win a Super Bowl and [les Eagles] just got extremely lucky last week. Can they really be so lucky twice in a row?” added Aiyuk.

In the final of the National, the Eagles defeated the 49ers 31 to 7. The California team lost the services of quarterback Brock Purdy in the first quarter. His replacement, Josh Johnson, was also injured in the third quarter, which forced Purdy back into the fray. The freshman, however, was unable to kick the ball.

Before this setback, the “Niners” had won 12 games in a row.

“We have a very talented football team, said Aiyuk, during the assessment of the players of his training. We have the best team in the NFL by far!”

“We felt like it was our year and we didn’t get to the promised land. That makes me sick…”

Coming back to the next Super Bowl game, Aiyuk believes it’s the Eagles defense that won’t be able to deliver the goods.

“I don’t really believe in this defensive unit,” he said. They say it’s a good defense, but I’m not sure. I believe the Kansas City Air Attack will be able to exploit what we thought we could exploit, before we were hit with bad luck.”

The Eagles and Chiefs meet on February 12 at State Farm Stadium.
