After her absence at the opening of the parliamentary session, the state of health of Queen Elizabeth II worried in the United Kingdom, but her appearance at an equestrian competition on Friday May 13 reassured the British. Live from London, journalist Maelys Septembre looks back on the event.
The queen comes out of her palace and the whole British people are reassured. Friday May 13, “Elizabeth II went to an equestrian event which takes place every year and which she has not missed since 1943”reports the journalist Maelys September live from London (UK). This is his first public release since the end of March. “Smiling and relaxed, the queen even walked a few steps with her cane to chat with the organizers of the equestrian competition”, continues the journalist. She was able to have the pleasure of seeing one of her horses win a prize.
Plagued by health problems, the queen was hospitalized last October. “Since then, Elizabeth II does not leave her palace much and limits her appearances”noted Maelys September. In particular, she had renounced the opening of the parliamentary session and the speech from the throne. The queen will celebrate her 70 years of reign at the beginning of June and many festivities are planned for this occasion.
