Henri Guaino and Emmanuel Grégoire were invited on Friday January 12 to answer questions from viewers and Gilles Bornstein on the set of the interactive show #OnVousRépond. The two politicians were questioned about the formation of the government of Gabriel Attal, announced Thursday, in particular on the surprise appointment of Rachida Dati to the Ministry of Culture.

Emmanuel Grégoire, elected socialist at Paris town hall, regrets this decision. He mentions the indictment in a corruption case of the mayor of the 7th arrondissement: “By being indicted, you can be promoted. It’s a very bad signal sent to the world of culture.”

The essayist and former advisor to Nicolas Sarkozy, Henri Guaino does not share this apprehension. He declares that he could vote for the new minister if she ran for mayor of Paris.

Asked to react to the appointment of Stéphane Séjourné, 38, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Henri Guaino expresses doubts. According to him, “it’s more reassuring when the experience is there”. But nuance by adding “that some manage to compensate for the lack of experience”.
