a vaccination pass instead of the health pass?

Mentioned by Jean Castex during his speech on Friday, December 17, the vaccine pass will be submitted to Parliament in January 2022. For the epidemiologist, Jonathan Roux, this solution is a “disguised vaccination obligation“. He explains that with the wave of Omicron variant which will arrive in January, it takes a maximum of vaccinated people to properly curb this future sixth wave. Jonathan Roux wonders, however, about the effectiveness of the vaccine pass. Indeed, the health pass is conditioned by a complete vaccination schedule or a test of less than 24h, which is already restrictive enough.

Currently nearly six million people in France have not received doses of the vaccine. Jonathan Roux explains that unvaccinated people are individuals at risk of developing serious forms. He add that among the no vaccinated still remain people over 60 years, whose age increases the risks. However, he explains that these people may have a weaker social life and therefore do not feel the need to be vaccinated, which could hamper the effectiveness of a vaccination pass.
