a Ukrainian MP expresses her “great gratitude to the French people” after the new aid to her country

According to Lesia Vasylenko, the newly granted aid to Ukraine can “surely” make a difference in this conflict which has lasted for almost two years.

“It is with great recognition and gratitude that we receive today this new agreement with France and Ukraine”greeted Ukrainian MP Lesia Vasylenko on Friday February 16 on franceinfo, while France commits to supplying in 2024 “up to 3 billion euros” military aid “additional” in kyiv, after support which it estimates at 1.7 billion in 2022 and 2.1 billion in 2023.

“This gratitude goes to President Macron, but above all to the French people, who supported this decision”according to the MP. “The French people want the victory of democracy and democratic people against the aggressor which is today Russia”.

According to Lesia Vasylenko, this help can “certainly” make things happen in this conflict: “We now need to strengthen our air defense. A large part of this aid will be concentrated on air reinforcements with aviation”. “Hope is always there, it doesn’t go away”she finished.
