A truck caught fire this Tuesday, May 31 around 3 p.m. while parked at the Montélimar Ouest rest area in Allan in the Drôme, in the direction of the ascent. The truck was isolated to prevent it from spreading to nearby vehicles but the flames hit nearby vegetation which then caught fire.
In total, 8,000 square meters of vegetation burned. 14 firefighters intervened on the spot and were able to finish extinguishing the fire around 5:00 p.m. using 3 fire hoses.
