Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, a strange wave of deaths has been observed. Six Russian oligarchs have died in mysterious circumstances. Almost all of them are linked to the Gazprom company.

Did they commit suicide, where were they eliminated? In recent weeks, six Russian businessmen have been found dead. To each time, the similarities are uncanny. On April 19 in Lloret de Mar (Spain), Sergey Protosenya was discovered hanged in his villa on the Costa Brava, an ax and a knife nearby. The bodies of his wife and daughter have also been identified. Sergey Protosenya was the former chief executive of Russian gas giant Novatek, currently under Western sanctions.

According to the Russian company, the thesis of a disguised triple murder does not hold. “We are convinced that these speculations have no relation to reality”, the company reported on April 21. If the story of Sergey Protosenya questions, it is because it resembles that of five other Russian businessmen, specialized in the energy sector, and also found dead, in Russia and the United Kingdom. These oligarchs were torn by Western sanctions, between loyalty and betrayal to the Kremlin.
