Monk. E explains that he was inspired by images published by Karim Ouellet on Instagram to create a digital collage and reproduce it in a fresco in the heights of the Mermoz-Sacré-Coeur district. , at Dakar. “I will meditate on this loss and honor his generosity with a painting inspired by this digital montage”, had indicated the graffiti artist in the social networks.
In the past, Monk. E has notably paid posthumous wall tributes to graffiti artist Scaner and rapper Jeune Loup. The musician and visual artist is currently traveling across Africa as part of the Doxandem Residence project, which connects graffiti professionals and amateur talent.
