The trial of twelve people for the spectacular robbery of American star Kim Kardashian, in October 2016 in Paris, is scheduled from April 28 to May 23, 2025 before the capital’s Assize Court, according to a notice of hearing sent to lawyers and consulted by AFP. The robbers had taken several diamond and gold jewelry, including an 18.88-carat stone.

On the night of October 2 to 3, 2016, several men, some dressed as police officers, robbed Kim Kardashian, then 36 years old, in a discreet luxury hotel in Paris, where she had come to attend Fashion Week. Jewelry worth more than six million dollars had been stolen and most of it never found. Two thieves threatened her with a gun to her head, before tying her up and gagging her. Three other men were keeping watch at the reception, a sixth being behind the wheel of a vehicle to ensure the escape.

Ten people suspected of belonging to the gang are sent to court for the robbery or kidnapping of Kim Kardashian. While an eleventh is sent back only for another criminal project on which the judges suspected part of the gang of working after the one which targeted Kim Kardashian. A twelfth will appear for a related offense relating to a weapons law offence. The group, described by the police as a gang of thugs “old”is suspected of having carried out the biggest robbery of an individual over the last twenty years in France.
