Well-being: a traveling salon goes to meet women in precarious situations
(France 2)
A traveling beauty salon aimed at women in vulnerable situations, this bus travels the roads of France to provide them with free treatments, a haircut or beauty advice.
A truck like no other, whose name was not chosen at random. Camping-Care, which means care in English. “My idea for France is to give back the smile and bring gentleness to the women who need it the most in our society and for that we transformed our truck into a traveling wellness salon which will to meet them”assures Sybil Gerbaud, the founder of Camping-Care.
The era of itinerant commerce?
The bus is a great tool for reaching people who live in remote places. For some traders, roaming is even a real lifestyle choice. On the set of 13 Heures, Valérie Heurtel tells the story of Adel, who transformed a small vintage bus into a traveling hair salon around Tourcoing (Hauts-de-France). It offers inexpensive cuts to men. In town and in the countryside, itinerant traders keep up with the times. Like Marie, who offers bulk, an ecological alternative, in her truck.
