During the evening Five heads, an election at Radio-Canada last Sunday, the Liberal leader had pointed out that studies on the 3rd link could confirm its uselessness to put the tram there.

Saturday morning in North Hatley, in the Eastern Townships, Dominique Anglade contradicted his own assertion, confirming that the project would be realized, regardless of the price.

“It is absolutely necessary to improve mobility in Quebec. And yes, it goes by a tram (…) Until Lévis”, she mentioned. “The study will allow us at that time to say what will be the best way to go forward with this.”

It could be a tunnel or a bridge, the PLQ said before the election.

The Quebec-Lévis project would be realized only during a third phase of development, according to what is in the boxes of the PLQ.

The Lebourgneuf and airport sectors will be prioritized in what will be called Phase 2 of the project.

Unknown costs

However, his project is not budgeted in his Quebec Infrastructure Plan (PQI).

“We have no amount put in the PQI. What we said was that we wanted to make an east-west, north-south tramway that would go as far as Lévis and that we want to reveal all the studies that have been done,” he said. she reiterated.

In addition, the sums reserved for the PQI for the “caquiste tunnel” will be diverted for promises in health and education, confirmed the chief.

Ms. Anglade challenged the outgoing Prime Minister, François Legault, to make public the government studies on the 3rd link before the face-to-face on TVA on September 15.

“It’s the least of things (…) They are sitting on information and they don’t give it to us,” she confirmed.
