A tram and a bus were targeted by fireworks mortar fire in Brest, Finistère, Tuesday evening around 10 p.m., France Bleu Breizh Izel learned on Wednesday January 26 from a union source. There were no injuries but the drivers are “shocked”according to the CFDT, majority union at Bibus, the transport network of the metropolis of Brest.

The facts took place in the Keranroux and Bellevue districts. The service has been stopped and the union says that public transport will stop running in the metropolis from 8 p.m.

Sunday January 23, the employees of the Bibus bus company had already exercised their right of withdrawal and stopped public transport in Brest after other incidents which occurred on Saturday January 22, in the Pontanézen district. The passage of a tram train had been prevented by the installation of a barrier on the rails. Fireworks mortar fire also took place. A Bibus staff vehicle that came as reinforcements to provide assistance to customers was also set on fire.
